INSTALLATION TUTORIAL

FITTING INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Take care when removing from the box and fitting – some edges and corners of the deflector can be sharp.
    2. Open the window completely
    3. Clean the window channel to ensure the adhesive has a clean surface to stick to.
    4. Lubricate the milled edge of the deflector with either a silicone spray or washing up fluid. Wait for it to dry slightly before starting the installation.
    5. Remove all adhesive tape from the deflector.
    6. Starting with the side mirror end of the window, rest the bottom edge of the deflector on the hard rubber window seal. (NOTE: If you place it on the soft part of the rubber the deflector will not hold under tension).
    7. Push the other end of the deflector into the window channel – you may need to gently bend the deflector. (Please be careful as excessive bending may snap the deflector).
    8. Starting from the mirror end use both hands to ease the milled edge of the deflector into the rest of the window channel not between the rubber and the metal frame.
    9. Once the deflector has been fitted, fit (at least) two clips on each end. The hook/notch on the clips must be facing away from the deflector. Use a flathead screwdriver to push the clips into the channel. The front deflectors generally do not need clips, we recommend only fitting them if the deflectors seem loose. If the front deflectors fit snug and tight, please do not fit any clips.
    10. Finally, close the window in small increments. Holding the button or letting the window go up automatically may trigger the anti-trap sensor and prevent the window from closing. As you are gradually closing the window, you may need to gently pull the deflector outwards or push the deflector into the rubber seal from the inside to allow the window to pass without triggering the sensors. Once the window has been closed, please leave it closed for 24-48 hours so that the rubber seal can mould itself to the deflector, creating more room for the window.
